Reality Potentiality is a work that encapsulates the messages I wish to convey to myself and to those living in Korean society, drawing from my own experiences within it. Reality carries the message, “Aren’t we losing ourselves by being tethered to a notion of a successful life defined by society?” while Potentiality expresses, “Isn’t a good life one that persists in the challenge of discovering one’s true ‘self,’ unbound by socially imposed definitions of success?” By transforming these abstract messages into a visual language and embodying them in three-dimensional furniture, this project brings the intended ideas to life as tangible objects in the real world.
